Moving on to a love story with a difference, take a look at Minus One: A Twelve-Step Journey by Bridget Bufford ($34.95). As we know from seeing them on a float at Mardi Gras, many of our local lesbians are dealing with their addictions to alcohol and drugs.  This novel is a well-written and entertaining journey through addiction and recovery with Terry, a young woman who is alternately loveable and maddening. A sizzling lesbian love story is combined with rock bottom gutter level addiction, and eventually the hope and self-respect of sobriety.  Suspense, humour and in-your-face honesty make this quality fiction and a great read.
